Position: Sterilization Technician

Location: Silver Spring, MD

Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

About Us: Dental Center of Aspen Hill is a leader in the manufacturing of quality, value-added medical supplies and equipment. We are currently seeking a full-time Sterilization Technician to join our team in the Silver Spring, MD area. The Sterilization Technician will be responsible for preparing instruments for sterilization according to the procedures outlined in the sterilization process chart. This position will also include cleaning and organizing equipment, inventorying supplies, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in medical equipment sterilization or an interest in starting in this field.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical.
• Must be able to read and understand simple instructions. Must have the ability to multi-task and work well with others.
• Ability to use basic computer skills including word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, faxing software and internet access. Must be able to use a personal computer and computer data entry software.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
·Stacking components for shipping/receiving purposes.
·Operating an automatic sterilizer that will produce up to 1MMV steam per hour (required). This position will be responsible for operating this machine at all times while performing sterilization procedures on medical equipment/supplies. This position will be required to wear a face mask while operating the machine (required).
·Stacking/Organizing supplies for shipping/receiving purposes. (required). This position will be responsible for using an organization system daily while performing sterilization procedures on medical equipment/supplies. This position will be required to wear a face mask while operating the organization system (required).
·Maintaining a clean work environment (required). This position will be responsible for cleaning all work areas at least once per day during working hours (typically 8:00 am - 5:00 pm).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
